Welcome Back to School, Team Crissey!
Crissey Elementary Principal Back-to-School Letter
Dear Crissey Family and Friends,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teachers, staff, students, parents, and the entire Crissey Community for a wonderful school year! We welcomed new teachers, students, and families into our team, and "Team Crissey" embraced these changes as we transitioned from a pre-K to 3rd grade school. To learn how to sign up for parent instant alerts, please click here.
The Crissey staff would like to extend a special thank you to the Crissey Parent Club and Springfield Schools Foundation. The Crissey Parent Club is responsible for our fundraisers and many of our fun after-school activities at Crissey. The Crissey Parent Club and Springfield Schools Foundation also provide educational equipment and funds for educational activities for many of our teachers.
I hope this message finds everyone excited for the new school year after enjoying a refreshing summer break!
As we prepare for the new year, I am reaching out to ask for your help. We try to keep extra school supplies available for when they are needed, and our current supply is running low. If you are out shopping and would like to help us, we will have donation boxes at Jump Start for any extra school supplies you are willing to donate. Below is a list of supplies that teachers request most often. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
Supply Box:
- Pencils
- Crayons
- Washable markers
- Colored pencils
- Glue sticks
- Dry erase markers
- Poly folders (green, yellow, red, and blue)
- Scissors
- Headphones
Some of the things we do at Crissey to help new students get acquainted and gear up for the
school year is the posting of the class lists. Many students wonder all summer who they will have
as a teacher and which friends will be in their classrooms.
Sincerely,
Mr. Oatis Amick
Principal,
Crissey Elementary School
